As part of a DEFRA project for the whole of Lincolnshire, 4 Telemetry posts have been added along the Ousemere Lode in Billingborough, with plans to add more in the coming months. Each post has 3 marker levels; a base, a yellow and a red. Once water has hit the yellow level, anyone signed up for either email or text notification will be notified.

The EA warning system, (a separate system), although a valuable part of the flood warning protocol, due to various constraints, can only give specific flood warnings after a longer period of time has elapsed.
